The proposed "Gopher to Badger" 765kV transmission line would cut a permanent industrial corridor through the heart of Southeast Minnesota's Driftless region — one of the most ecologically unique landscapes in the Midwest. Nearly 200-foot towers would cross private farmland, threaten groundwater and wildlife habitat, and impose chronic noise and visual pollution on communities that were never meaningfully consulted.
